You know what they say about the annual trends – the old trends remain in the last year, with the new come the next designs. In 2022, however, things changed a bit and instead of starting the 12 months with new trends, we returned to the past to draw inspiration from it. Thus, the mules, the step, and even the ultra-thin eyebrows returned to fashion and again took their places in the cultural spirit of the time, sending beauty lovers to travel to the past.
From sharp bobs to locks and huge volume, hair trends in 2022 offer something for everyone. This is because their overall theme is inspired by the past and the acceptance of natural hair shades and textures.
Sharp Bob Haircut
The bob style is a timeless hairstyle that is expected to dominate this year, especially since it involves serious hair shortening. A bob cut, also known as a bob, is a short to medium length haircut, in which the hair is typically cut straight around the head at approximately jaw level, but no longer than shoulder-length, often with fringe or bangs at the front.
Short Shaggy Haircut
For those of you who crave a short hairstyle but want more texture than the bob style, we recommend the shag cut. A shag cut is a hairstyle that has been layered to various lengths. It was created by the barber Paul McGregor. The layers are often feathered at the top and sides. The layers make the hair full around the crown, and the hair thins to fringes around the edges.
Wispy bangs
Wispy bangs are soft and lightly feathered which makes it ideal for women with thin hair. These eyebrow-grazing fringes can be maintained with a regular blow dry so the strands stay in place. Expect to see very slim and long bangs styles this year. Compared to other types of bangs, this look is much easier to maintain.
Volume curls
This year will be about taking in the natural volume of your hair or using a hairdryer to create the desired result. These are the hairstyles we saw at the fashion shows this year. According to hairdressers, the style can be easily achieved with rollers or a round brush and hairdryer.
